FMBs announces its 2018 sponsored rider team

FMBs Therapy Systems is delighted to announce that it is sponsoring three riders for the 2018 season: Suzanna Hext, Cassey Watson and Maddi Burchell.

The riders applied for a 12 month sponsorship with FMBs where three riders would receive use of an Activo-Med Pulsed Electromagnetic Rug, branded clothing and more. The final 10 were then announced on Facebook. FMBs’ fans voted for which riders from the shortlist they wanted the company to sponsor, and the three riders listed were victorious.

Suzanna Hext is a Para-dressage rider who won three gold medals at the Para-dressage European Championships in Sweden in 2017. “'It's a huge honour and privilege to be selected as a sponsored rider for FMBs Therapy Systems in 2018, and I'm hugely grateful for their support. The horses are already reaping the benefits of the FMB Activo Med rug; they're feeling loose and supple when I get on them, and long term it will help to keep the horses in tip top condition whilst at home and competing.”

Cassey Watson runs the page ‘Confessions of an Average Amateur Eventer’: “I am so excited to have joined the FMBs Therapy Systems team as a 2018 sponsored rider. I feel privileged as an amateur rider to appear alongside some of my idols and look forward to working with the team this year.

“We have been using the Activo-Med rug over the last few weeks and I have been in awe of the difference it has made to my horses already. As the owner of a horse that is currently undergoing rehabilitation following a Kissing Spine operation, I am eagle eyed to any changes. I have been so impressed at his reaction to the Activo Med rug, both physiologically and psychologically. He is considerably more relaxed and whilst we are in the early days of ridden work it is already clear the improvement to performance this is going to give us.

Maddi Burchell is a dressage rider based in Kent. She trains and coaches and runs a premium livery service too: “I am so honoured and proud to have been sponsored by such an amazing company as FMBs. The rug is the best bit of kit I have! I use the rug every day on the horses before I ride and I also use it at least once a week on the rehab setting to just give them a therapy session. The difference I feel in my horse when I have used the rug before getting on is huge! He feels very soft and supple to ride from the word go!

“I love working with FMBs’ products as they really are the best you can get and really help with peak performance. We are looking forward to going training for a couple of days next week and then will start getting out and about competing.”

“We can’t wait to use the rug as part of the yard’s daily routine and see all the horses benefit from its use!”

“We are so excited to be working with these three riders for this year,” said Serena Hickson, MD of FMBs Therapy Systems. “The volume of competition entries was overwhelming but the support for these three on social media, in addition to their applications, was so impressive. We’re already enjoying seeing pictures of their horses making use of the Activo-Med rugs.”
